: (sorry for it being long in advance)
: (not really a pal...tell you why in a second) hears me start my car up to let it warm up. i am going out to test out my new lights that i just put in (very good i might add..will be better when i clear the glare guards though..help logic) ...he comes over and starts talking to me. he says "hey man, nice car...i have seen you drive out a couple times, and the other guy in the vette." and i say "hey, thanks..your new next door right?" and he says "yep, just moved in..and i just bought that GT over there..its a standard" ..and i say "oh, cool" (playing it off like i think the car is kinda cool...granted, its alright, just not my cup of tea) ..and he says "so, do you ever race your car?" and i say "time to time i am known to let the turbo's sing" and he says "oh, thats a turbo?" and i say "yep!" and he says "oh, i raced one of those about two weeks after i got my car and spanked him pretty good" and i say "oh...reallllllyyyyyy?" and he said "yep, i had about 2 car lenghts on him by 120" and i said "ohh...hmmm...musta been a NA (even though the NA probably still would be doing damn good against the GT...i aint a NA hater)" and he said "nope, i am pretty sure its a turbo..so i am pretty sure i could take you" and i said "uhhh huh..mmmkay..u sure?" and he said "lets go find out" and i said "sure why the hell not, its cold outside, i dont think i will run all that great (hahahah)"
: SOOO...we drive out to this road that is close to me that they are doing construction on...completely straight for about a mile. NO traffic whats so ever (they dont let cars on it yet...but its been swept for dirt and stuff..cause i checked out my clutch slippage there the other day) so we stop...roll down windows, and discuss the start, etc. he will be doing the honking..and i will be doing the spanking (that sounded bad) ... : 3rd honk from a dead start..1st gear he gets the launch on me...2nd gear i pull by him at the top of it...3rd...forget about it. we stop, turn around, and he said he missed a gear shift. i told him that by 3rd gear, if your not ahead, you might as well shut it down. so, i said "lets do it again"...(the first run the turbos sung a pretty tune of "oh baby cold air, lets suck some of that in!" ...again, 3rd honk..1st gear same result, 2nd gear i hit perfect and pull by easy...3rd, forget about it again. we stop again. he said "that was pretty good, but i wasnt really pushing it." i asked "do you want to do it again?" (hell, i could do this all day)...he said "sure, but lets do it from a roll this time." i said "why the hell not." (apparently this guy doesnt really know turbos/the z that well...or at all) we decided that a 20mph roll would be good. ..rolling..3rd honk, 1st i pull him hard, 2nd i hit perfect again but i dont really get that great of traction and start to slide and back off..3rd, well..you get the point. : we drive back to the house, talk for a minute and he said "well, lets run again and i will open it up, plus yours isnt stock" ..i said "sure thing man, whatever you want to do...but its just a intake and a gay ass exhaust.." : btw, the reason he really isnt a pal is the fact that he lets his big ass mofo dog crap in yard near my patio and doesnt clean the huge pile of crap that is left! : i guess he is edumacated now...not sure, but i bet he comes back for some more later (when i am like stage V in feb.)
